Ross was educated in Bassaleg School in Newport and went on to successfully complete a Law and Politics joint honours degree at Cardiff University before joining Niche as a paraplanner in 2010.

Ross has completed two Chartered Institute of Insurance exams whilst studying for his law degree and thus started at Niche well on his way to Certificate in Financial Planning.

Ross has an interest in Trusts after studying the subject at degree level from a legal perspective and is working towards the parallel CII qualification in Trusts from the financial services perspective to increase his technical knowledge on the area.
