Ray is a Director of Niche Independent Financial Advisers Ltd and founder of the company. Ray entered the financial services industry in 1996 following a very successful career as a police officer.

Ray believes very strongly that the foundation of a good financial adviser is excellent technical knowledge. For this reason Ray has passed the industry standard examination, the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC). He did not stop there, but has gone on to pass the coveted, Advanced Financial Planning Certificate (AFPC) and is a CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER which is the highest possible qualification for a financial adviser, with specific emphasis on Pension Planning, Taxation & Trusts. He has also passed the Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ), Equity Release and Long Term Care exams.

Ray worked for several years for a National Mutual Insurance Company, which in the main, specialised in providing a financial planning service to Doctors and Dentists. As the Area Manager, responsible for a very large part of the UK, Ray and his team of financial advisers looked after the financial needs of approximately 16,500 Doctors and Dentists.
